These tables provide cross sectional area, section modulus and moment of inertia, for both xx and yy axes, for standard glulam sizes. Beam weights for estimating purposes are also included.

STEEL TO WOOD CONVERSION
Beam Conversions to Glu-Lam. ASTM A36 Grade, 36 ksi Steel.
This AITC Conversion Table provides glued laminated timber beam sizes to substitute for steel shapes. Conversions are based on flexural strength and stiffness.

Tables are provided showing estimated sizes for typical spans and spacings. Table specifications are provided with each table indicating conditions and assumptions used to calculate the member sizes. These tables are provided as a guideline. Specific member sizes should be reviewed by a licensed design professional.
Note: Shear design values used in calculations and example are 165 psi. Current values have been increased to 190 psi.

AITC Three Hinged Arch Tables.
AITC Tudor Arch Table provides a preliminary design size based on a simplified loading system.
